In today's society, with the acceleration of urbanization and the continuous promotion of industrial development, water resource protection and sewage treatment have become important issues related to people's well-being and environmental protection. As a core component of the municipal sewage treatment system in the region, Jilin Songjia Wastewater Treatment Plant bears the responsibility of ensuring water quality safety and promoting the recycling of water resources. Recently, the factory has introduced an advanced ozone advanced oxidation system with a scale of 2x13.5kg/h. This measure not only marks a significant leap in the technological upgrade of Songjia Wastewater Treatment Plant, but also provides strong support for the continuous improvement of the regional water environment.

####1、 Project Background and Requirements Analysis

Jilin Songjia Wastewater Treatment Plant is located downstream of the city and is responsible for treating multi-source wastewater from residential life, industrial production, and rainwater runoff. With the expansion of urban scale, the amount of sewage has significantly increased, and the original treatment process is no longer able to meet the increasingly strict effluent quality standards. Especially for the removal of difficult to degrade organic compounds, nitrogen and phosphorus pollutants, traditional biological treatment methods have limitations. Therefore, it is particularly important to introduce efficient and environmentally friendly new technologies for sewage treatment.

Ozone advanced oxidation technology has become an ideal choice for improving sewage treatment efficiency due to its strong oxidizing properties, fast reaction speed, and no secondary pollution. This technology utilizes direct oxidation of ozone molecules and indirect oxidation of hydroxyl radicals (· OH), which can effectively decompose complex organic compounds, improve the biodegradability of wastewater, create favorable conditions for subsequent biological treatment, and help with disinfection and sterilization, comprehensively improving effluent quality.

####2、 System Introduction and Technical Features

The newly installed advanced ozone oxidation system at Jilin Songjia Wastewater Treatment Plant has a designed production capacity of 2x13.5kg/h, which can generate 27 kilograms of ozone per hour, fully meeting the current and future demand for wastewater treatment. The system mainly consists of an ozone generator, an ozone contact reaction tank, a tail gas treatment device, and a control system.

-Ozone generator: Using high-efficiency electrodes and cooling technology to ensure stable ozone production and low energy consumption, while reducing equipment wear and extending service life.

-Ozone Contact Reaction Tank: The optimized design of the reaction tank structure ensures that ozone is fully mixed and in contact with wastewater, thereby improving oxidation efficiency. By adjusting parameters such as pH value and residence time, targeted treatment of different pollutants can be achieved.

-Exhaust gas treatment device: uses catalytic oxidation or absorption methods to treat unreacted ozone, avoiding secondary pollution to the atmospheric environment.

-Control System: Integrated automation control, real-time monitoring of ozone concentration, flow rate, and system operation status, achieving remote monitoring and intelligent adjustment to ensure safe and efficient system operation.

####3、 Project implementation effect and impact

Since the system was put into operation, the effluent quality of Jilin Songjia Wastewater Treatment Plant has been significantly improved, especially in the removal rates of key indicators such as COD (chemical oxygen demand), BOD5 (five-day biochemical oxygen demand), ammonia nitrogen, and total phosphorus. This not only effectively reduces the pollution load of downstream water bodies, but also creates favorable conditions for the improvement of the ecological environment and the recycling of water resources in the surrounding areas.

The Songyuan Cargill Industrial Park Sewage Treatment Plant was constructed in 2019, and the project was officially put into operation in July 2020. The effluent meets the Class A discharge standard of the "Pollutant Discharge Standards for Urban Sewage Treatment Plants" (GB18918-2002).

After the sewage treatment plant in Songyuan Cargill Park is put into operation, it will greatly improve the surrounding water environment, play a very important role in controlling water pollution, protecting local watershed water quality and ecological balance.
