Municipal Water Supply and Drainage
Because ozone has a higher oxidation potential than chlorine, it has a stronger bactericidal effect than chlorine disinfection. It also acts faster on bacteria than chlorine, consumes significantly less, and is largely independent of PH.
Compared with the traditional chlorine disinfection method, ozone disinfection also has the following advantages:
(1) disinfection can improve the properties of water at the same time, and less additional chemical pollution.
(2) Will not produce such as chlorophenol odor.
(3) Does not produce trihalomethanes and other disinfection by-products of chlorine disinfection.
(4) Ozone can be obtained by local manufacturing, it only requires electricity, without any auxiliary materials and additives.
(5) Ozone disinfection does not require the additional process of removing excess biocides from purified water.
